Smoke does not remain. It rises, unfolds, and disappears — leaving only a trace of what has passed. The Anicca Vanitas Incense Holder is conceived as a still form that gives space to this impermanence, framing a ritual defined entirely by transformation. Rooted in the idea of Anicca — the inevitability of change — and Vanitas — the reflection on transience — it exists not as an object of permanence, but as a witness to what cannot be held.

Crafted in polished brass, the surface reflects its surroundings completely and without interruption. As incense burns, ash is collected within the form itself — a subtle record of time passing, gathered and then cleared, without residue or insistence. Nothing remains fixed. Nothing is preserved as it was. Only the act of passing continues.
